Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Vladyslav Fedoniuk ("I", "me") handles information when you use the UpWatchr desktop application and visit upwatchr.io.

1. What stays on your PC

UpWatchr has no account and no cloud service. Everything you set up in it is stored locally on your computer and is never sent to me:

• the sites and services you monitor, with their URLs, headers, bodies and credentials;
• the status and uptime history of those checks;
• your alert settings - SMTP server, webhook URLs, Telegram bot token, and so on.

2. What leaves your PC, and where it goes

• The checks themselves. UpWatchr sends HTTP requests from your computer to the addresses you add - that is what monitoring is. Those servers see your request as they would any other.
• Alerts you turn on. They go straight from your computer to the service you configured: your own SMTP server, your webhook URL, Telegram (through your own bot), or a program on your PC. None of them pass through my servers.
• The update check. The application asks upwatchr.io whether a newer version exists, and the installer does the same once when it runs. My server records each check with your IP address and the country derived from it (from Cloudflare's country header, or a lookup at ipinfo.io), plus the installed version for the installer's check, and sends me a notification in a private Telegram chat. Nothing about your monitors or settings is sent. I use this to know which versions are in use and to spot a broken update quickly.
• The optional local status page is bound to 127.0.0.1 - it is only reachable from your own computer.

3. This website

• Analytics: Umami, self-hosted at analytics.fedoni.uk. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data and does not follow you across sites; page views are not shared with a third-party analytics provider.
• Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
• Cloudflare sits in front of the site and the downloads, so it processes your IP address to deliver them.
• The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested address, time).

4. How the information is used

Only to run and improve UpWatchr and this site, to keep updates working, and to answer you when you write to me. It is not sold, not shared for advertising, and not combined with other data to profile you.

5. Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to the address below. If you are in the EU you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.

UpWatchr is built, owned and operated by Vladyslav Fedoniuk as an individual developer. BitQuail Sp. z o.o., the developer's company, provides the correspondence address above and the code-signing certificate for the installer; it has no other involvement in UpWatchr.
